Hotel Belvedere has a one of a kind island setting within Lake Maggiore. Our balcony view was terrific and so spacious. Windows all around made the room very cheerful. The experience alone makes this place unforgettable. We easily caught a boat from Stresa and were able to park our car right at the Stresa boat dock, so logistics were simple. We drove from Munich, Germany for a wedding to Lago Maggiore. Looking for hotels in Stresa, we found out that the prices where not very fair and quite expensive for something nice. Looking through hotels.com we found a brand new hotel which opened only in May 25th and seemed to be very modern and luxusrious with a great value. Gorgeous trees and flowers in April and many birds singing; also, you have beautiful views of Lake Maggiore. This is a wonderful place for relaxing. Especially nice if coming from a wintry country! The staff at Hotel Royal was very helpful and they spoke English very well!
My wife and I first visited Grand Hotel Dino several years ago on a tour, and the beautiful images remained with us. We decided to return this July and it was everything we remembered and much more. The hotel is spectacular and the scenery is as well. Hopefully on our next trip up north we will bring our entire family including our grandchildren. We know that they, too, will just love it.
Very nice hotel on the Lago Maggiore in Verbania! Staff was super kind to find the right room for my mother that is 82 and has mobility issues ! The area is very nice calm with many restaurants and cafe around .

We looked all over the area for the best place to stay within our budget. There are some very fancy high-end hotels that are available in Stresa and Baveno, but I have to say that we lucked out when we selected this one. The location is absolutely perfect: just steps from the ferry for Isole Borromee (Madre, Bella, Superiore) - and the view is even better of these islands from Baveno than Stresa. Enchanting family run hotel. Would have stayed longer if we would have known how nice it was. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Spacious rooms. Excellent location. The hotel made reservations for us to dine on Isola Pescodore Island. We were picked up in front of the hotel, steps away from the marina and ferries in a private boat at no charge. Had a delicious meal with a view to the ocean and the sun setting. Free ample car parking and free lobby wifi.
Nice old style hotel with proper lobby, right across from lakefront promenade. Best value found! Very friendly staff, free gated parking! Just our front is quiet lawn area with bars and restaurants putting their chairs out at night. Loved it.
