Spice House Hotel. It’s a charming place, styled like an old British bungalow, right across from Coconut Hill in Mirissa. The location is beautiful, with lovely views, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. They offer a great breakfast included in your stay, and the internet is high-speed. Just one key thing to note: they only accept cash payments, even if you booked online through a site like Hotels.com. So be prepared with cash when you leave.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. It is right on the water and you can see the waves crashing on the rocks. It is located close to many shops and restaurants. We had a delicious breakfast each day with a choice of Euro-American food and Sri Lankan food. We had a wonderful assistant in the person of Asuri. She was doing everything: front of house, breakfast, room service and more. The pool was lovely, despite the odd shark-dolphin sculptural oddity (a shower for children). The rooms were...
