Sani Valley Nature Lodges
10/10 Excellent
"My second visit the place was clean and is cleaned on a daily basis. Amazing views and trails for walks. Staff is friendly and helpful. Started our fire in the evenings. It’s family friendly and a good breakfast"
Premier Resort Sani Pass
10/10 Excellent
"Absolutely fantastic! I arrived and there were about 100 baboons on the loan to welcome me. They are the only one with a heated indoors swimming pool as well which has great sunset views. Room was comfortable and spot less and the fireplace in the restaurant and lounge is a great place to relax. But what made my stay even more incredible was zozo hands! She is a fantastic masseuse. Probably the best I had in a while, and she is an expert with stones. If you never had a hot stone massage this is the place to get it."
Himeville Arms
8/10 Good
"Rather expensive room rate through Expedia, that didn't include any meals!Otherwise comfortable & clean old world charm"
Sani Mountain Lodge
8/10 Good
"Location view and security aspect were outstanding. New rooms, were very clean and well organised: some lights (eg bathroom) did not work properly however, and no shelf/table space provided. Staff courteous and helpful, although some explanations needed to be extracted. Food variety and quality very good; but menu was illegible being tiny font light orange text on shiny white paper. Checkin required by guest using app was very tedious, esp on our arrival tired after a long day on the road."
Moorcroft Manor Boutique Country Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We had a great stay at Moorcroft for two nights. Couple of tips: 1) Exit at Howick off N3 as the roads are paved, 2) Bring rain gear as it rained quite a bit when we were there, 3) Aim to arrive before sunset as it gets quite dark on the roads, 4) The kitchen closes at 8:30 p.m. and there aren’t too many options nearby. The check-in process was fast and we were shown to our room with a very welcoming ambiance, a large bathroom, and a small outdoor terrace. WiFi was strong. The bathroom could use a bit of modernization by having a larger sink and more shelves. Dinner at the restaurant was great, and we truly enjoyed the curry and spring rolls. However, the steak we had on the first night was overcooked (medium rare became more medium). The service overall was fine, but the trainer definitely needed more training (a teacup was refilled with just hot water - where the tea bag was removed). The surroundings were very peaceful and idyllic. The turn-down service was a nice touch. The spa closes at 5 p.m., which was slightly disappointing since that’s when guests would enjoy the most from returning the day trip. "
