This is a gem at the high coast. The owner and her team take great care of every guest providing a grand hotel experience from long gone times. Everything has been exceptional, from the spa with view of the baltic sea to the food at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. There is a public elevator that takes you down to the beach.

Very friendly staff, amazing location on canal. Room was large and very comfortable. Restaurant is excellent. Had dinner there two evenings and tried five different dishes - all delicious. Some of the best food we've had in Germany. Lots of nice walking paths - along the canal, beach area, to local ruins of a monastery. You can reach the innercity of Greifswald by bus - about 25 minutes away.
Very safe place for solo travelers. Breakfast was wonderful. Steam room and Sauna was clean and one of the amenity of this hotel. Hotel is right by beach. Only one thing linen was not changed daily.
This is my familie's second trip to this hotel and we loved both visits. The hotel is interesting, staff is friendly and helpful, it is away from major traffic and it is on the water. The restaraunt is very good, but not the fastest, but we didn't mind that because who is in a hurry? If we ever get a chance to go again, we will surely stay here.
The hotel is the perfect property for a nice couple getaway. There's a lot to do like hiking, biking and nice evening walks. Breakfast buffet was perfection.
Great hotel, fantastic views, excellent spa facilities. Room excellent - spacious with cooking facilities in the private hall rather than the bedroom itself so you do not need to sleep with stale cooking smells. Very well equipped, though in summer the lack of air con may be a factor. Only downside was the pillows (though that and the lack of air con seems to be a common problem in hotels in Germany).
