"Went for a special occasion. Did not disappoint. Pretty much outstanding from start to finish.
Start with the property - location - quiet, looks over the lake, 5 minute stroll into bellagio. The hotel and grounds are extremely well maintained. The spa was immaculately clean. Room was refreshed twice a day. That’s right - they came with more towels and water in the afternoon as well as the AM full refresh. The gardens, pool area and the infinity jacuzzi pool are beautiful.

"The Villa Serbelloni is a very beautiful and well-kept property, and has some of the most amazing views of Lake Como! Watching the sunrise and sunset were spectacular! The service at the hotel and its restaurants was excellent. The location is walkable to the ferries and the property has its own dock, where one can arrange for a private boat tour of the lake. We highly recommend the Villa Serballoni to anyone planning on visiting Lake Como. One of our best vacations ever!"

Natalia was extremely helpful. Google Maps will try to tell you it’s on a 8 min walk to the ferry. It’s much longer.

Outstanding visit--very classy place! Felt like an Italian princepessa in her family palazzo! Shopping out the front door, excellent meals at 1-star Michelin restaurant, Mistral, and the lakeside cafe. Breakfast was an unexpected feast, beautifully presented. Staff could not be better, Concierge happy to help with the smallest of questions and details. Lake Como is stunning, and Serbelloni is well-known for excellence in this part of the world.
Hidden gem tucked in Lenno - easy access to ferry (across the street from hotel). Ferry can take you to any destination in the lake but Bellagio is a must see. Get in, hop in hop out the ferry and be amazed!

To enter the Hotel Excelsior Splendide is to experience the gently fading grandeur of another age. I would say of our five weeks in Italy and most of the experiences being very good this one did not disappoint. Nice room and a wonderful location close to everything. Quaint town without all the congestion. Updated room with balcony on the second level. Only comfort issue was the mattress very firm but as things go in Italy it has been the norm. Otherwise no complaints!
