Quite retreat in mountains with modern clean rooms. Very attentive and pleasant staff

The hotel was an adventure in it of itself. Enjoyed wondering the grounds and it is not a far drive to the town. Room was quite spacious.

The property was clean,the area was safe and walkable. The beds were comfortable. I would definitely book again.

Lovely hotel in a fantastic location. Use their recommended parking garage and be very patient as you drive up to the fourth floor for easier access with bags.

Beautiful property. We have stayed here before. Well located. Nice breakfast. Terrible omelets. Overcooked. Good amenities. The only bad thing is bathroom lighting. It is WAY to dark over mirror. The hand mirror did not light up. They need shower mats as shower is very slippery!

My wife and I stayed here while visiting Peneda-Gerês National Park. Sao Bento was a fantastic location for exploring the park and trails in the surrounding area. The hotel is a short 10-15-minute drive to Campo do Geres, where we went on a great hike (Cidade da Calcedónia trail) followed by a terrific drive through the park, along the Rio Homem (lake) to the Spanish border, and back down N-308-1. The hotel staff recommended a hike that left from the front door of the hotel. While...

This place is an absolute gem. We felt like guests at a private country estate. Our room was very clean and well furnished. The morning breakfast was better than most. Our only problem was that the wireless internet was useless at our room. Perhaps the host needs a range-extender closer to the remote room that we had.

When I booked this hotel, we needed a little bit of serenity after a very busy first five days in Lisbon and Porto. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking. It is in the middle of nowhere —driving up these tiny roads you think you’re in a residential area and you come upon this castle-like structure. Everybody is friendly, the staff is super attentive, the infinity pool is located overlooking the vineyard. The food is very good! The rooms are absolutely stunning. Close to historic site and restaurants. Excellent breakfast and the massage was good. Hotel bed, room, and bathroom is a good size. The downside is you’ll need to pay for spa services daily to use the pool. Hot tub is luke warm and the steam room could use eucalyptus or something to give it a spa feeling. Would be nice if pool access didn’t require a spa service. Also cap purchase required if you didn’t bring your own.

Carlos was very helpful& gave us great restaurant recommendations& sights to see. The two rooms were great. Spotlessly Clean& we had room 1 ( the best) great new bathroom& beautiful ceilings. Room 2 had beautiful ceilings & much smaller bathroom so if your very tall ( my son 6 feet 7 inches) get bedroom 1 . Great beds & sheets. Breakfast wonderful.
