DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Toronto Downtown

"I would like to extend a big thank you specifically to the front desk reception staff, tajer/tajek (sp?). Upon checking in I was informed that my request to have a room on the lower floors could not be accommodated. As someone that has recently become claustrophobic and avoids going to high levels in buildings. I thought I had taken care of this when booking the room. So, I was surprised and immediately having a panic attack about going to the 21st floor. The hotel was full so we (husband, child) did not have any alternative options that could work. Tajar was amazing. He was very patient, understanding, and offered to take the elevator with me and said they could also arrange it so we could take it ourselves without the crowding of other people. This was all happening while the lobby was full of people checking in, lots of sensory overload. He was very compassionate, and helped me through a panic ridden situation at the end of a long travel day with a young child. I am very grateful for his professionalism and empathy."

"Intercontinental is our favourite place to stay in Toronto! It’s clean, hospitable and comfortable. The location is ideal because we always travel by Via Rail to Union Station. It’s also close the underground PATH walkway that we take to the Eaton Centre. We will absolutely be back!"
