Great location. We had a large terrace with amazing views of the castle and mountains. Rooms were large with ample space. Hotel offered two restaurants and a complimentary breakfast each day. Also offered free parking.
Great view from room. Restaurant attached to hotel. Had a really good dinner there, lot of locals seemed to be eating there. Nice breakfast included with room. Great place to stay when going to castles.
Had a little trouble finding how to get to hotel, due to road construction. Also, had to pay cash in morning, because front desk person didn't speak much English and couldn't do credit card for us.
We had a fantastic stay at the Ameron Neuschwanstein Alpsee Resort. The room was absolutely beautiful—elegantly designed, comfortable, and with breathtaking views of the Alpsee. The staff went above and beyond, especially Tomy at the front desk, who was incredibly helpful and welcoming throughout our visit. Breakfast each morning was a treat—fresh, delicious, and with a great variety. Highly recommend this resort for anyone visiting this area.
The hotel was in an excellent location and the staff, particularly Dami (?), was very kind and helpful. The breakfast offerings were unbelievable--definitely take advantage of that. Also, make sure to take a bike to the castle. It's a lovely bike ride and easier to manage. Just really pay attention to the warnings to get there 1.5-2 hours in advance. The grounds were well kept and had a lovely view of the castle. The only thing that was a bit hard to figure out were the spa facilities and how to...
Hotel Waldman is a jewel. This wonderfully charming family run hotel and restaurant is gorgeously surrounded by picturesque Bavarian country side and snow capped mountains. The food is just as spectacular as the views, and their hospitality makes this enchanted place feel as much like home as it does a fairy tale. Thanks for being such wonderful hosts....we'll definitely be back!
We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Hirsch overall and would consider staying there again if we were going to be in the area. The front of the building reminds me of something out of a Wes Anderson film, and the inside is equally cute and comfortable with an updated, yet traditional Bavarian feel. Our room had wood flooring and a rug, which is something I don't often see in hotels! Dinner at the hotel restaurant was an enjoyable experience as well.

Perfect location, pleasant & helpful staff, great breakfast & nice hotel. Room had just enough space for 2 people with luggage but only 1, very small window...view was nice though. We'd definitely stay there again.
The location of this property makes it easy to walk around town to visit the many shops and restaurants. Though the room was small, it was beautiful and clean and we enjoyed our stay.
Great hotel...great location....friendly and helpful staff for the most part. There was one guy who clearly had an issue with Americans....gave him a 20% Euro tip (which is way more then Europeans leave) and he was still a %^$*&.
Great area to bike, hike and relax at the Thermal Pool within walking distance of the hotel and sits in the valley of the Austrian Alps. Soooo beautiful.
Hotel was very cool. Right on the main walkway for Fussen, restartaunt downstairs, just a great place and atmosphere. Room was a little small for al 4 of us, but it worked just fine and was set up for us when we arrived. Parking area in the rear was a little tight...but it was also convenient and secure.
