I was traveling from Tennessee to the coast and thought I would stop somewhere before Birmingham. This place had some good reviews and pictures so I gave it a shot. It was even better than I expected. It isn’t right beside the interstate, but still really close. Super clean, nice desk clerk, and enjoyed coffee and breakfast.
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while visiting the Shrine in Hanceville. I'm not fond of staying in hotels..I guess you could say I have germ a phobia...but I felt so comfortable here...best hotel experience ever. Our room was super clean and very inviting. My husband said at the end of a day at the Shrine "let's go home" meaning back to the hotel. I knew then that he was feeling very comfortable w/our stay at Comfort Suites. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. We will stay...
It wasn't the fanciest but I thought it was cute. Staff was SUPER nice and the hotel was clean. Pool was well managed and they had a nice breakfast. Right down the road was a Walmart so any last minute purchases was accessible. And quite a few fast food restaurants were clustered nearby. I was really impressed with my stay and it made my first trip with a toddler that much easier.
As always, LaQuinta did not disappoint. This hotel lived up to the Brand's reputation: great accommodations for a reasonable price. One issue, and it's not unique to LaQuinta. Our accessible room was on the 3rd floor (a good ADA-compliant room). How does my wheelchair -bound wife exit if there's a fire alarm? Can't use the elevator. Shouldn't all accessible rooms be on the first floor?
