Residence Les Bambous is on a little side street in Mahebourg, about a 5 minute ride from the new mall at Vallon Bo (close to the airport, but on the opposite side of the island from the capital and most of the resorts in the north). It is family owned, with a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. It's not luxurious but it is very affordable, and comfortable, with a nice bed, hot water in the shower, and a ceiling fan to keep the room cool.

Love this place!! We stayed here for my birthday and had the best time ever! Beautiful property in a paradise setting. Excellent service--you can text the front desk for anything you need, restaurant reservations, ice, problems, requests, etc. The seafood restaurant and bar were really nice. I picked this property for the beauty, location close to airport and the included unlimited water sports: kayak, SUP, catamaran, laser boat, padalo. (maybe more I'm forgetting, we had our own snorkel gear)...

Loved it! Beautiful 16 room hotel on a gorgeous beach. I stayed three night by myself but quickly made friend at this small hotel. They upgraded me to a comfort ocean view room and let me do a late check-out. Rooms are very nice, staff is very friendly and helpful.The beach is small as it is in a neighborhood of private homes, so if you like long beach walks this is not for you. A gorgeous reef is a 1 min swim from the beach and they provide free snorkel gear and kayaks, so I was constantly...

We had only a short stay at the hotel and wish that we had been able to stay longer! Such a lovely property and wonderful staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and the property is well maintained. Food was excellent. The pools are beautiful. Everything about our stay was perfect (other than it being too short!). The location is VERY convenient to airport, which was our main choice for a hotel since we had a 3am flight out in the morning.

The apartment hotel was quiet and clean nestled in between two malls. The beaches were close by and finding food was easy plus the grocery store is 2 miles away…. so is KFC. Everyone was helpful. Make sure to contact hotel before arrival and give them your arrival time so they can be ready with the snacks or any accommodations you may need like wine etc!!!!!! Oh the mosquitos and ants are tough bring spray!
