Loved it! Beautiful 16 room hotel on a gorgeous beach. I stayed three night by myself but quickly made friend at this small hotel. They upgraded me to a comfort ocean view room and let me do a late check-out. Rooms are very nice, staff is very friendly and helpful.The beach is small as it is in a neighborhood of private homes, so if you like long beach walks this is not for you. We had only a short stay at the hotel and wish that we had been able to stay longer! Such a lovely property and wonderful staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and the property is well maintained. Food was excellent. The pools are beautiful. Everything about our stay was perfect (other than it being too short!). The location is VERY convenient to airport, which was our main choice for a hotel since we had a 3am flight out in the morning.

My wife and I travel frequently and have been fortunate enough to visit multiple islands in Hawaii, the Caribbean as well as enjoy fine hotels all Europe and the US. This is the most idyllically suituated hotel on the North East coast of Mauritius and boasts a proud heritage in its many years of existence. The staff was friendly and the hotel was nice and comfortable. A short walk to the beach as well. Everything was good at the hotel, the only recommendation I have is that the check-in process is a bit slow so when you are tired after a long trip, you want to be able to have access to your room quick.

The host greeted us at the front and immediately brought us to our room. Directions on how to use the WiFi, air con, and shower was made clear and easy. We had a great night's sleep and the breakfast on the roof was AWESOME! Parking was on the street, but we were assured it was safe. Would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed the food variety available from the buffet, breakfast, lunch and dinner (we always missed tea time). The onsite restaurants food was also good. Staff is always friendly and helpful. We just had a great time.

Great service and staff. The beach house and free shuttle to the beach and the facilities at the house was 5 stars. Room was excellent veey comfortable and clean. The food wasn't that good but it is not expensive comparing to many in Mauritius with same or lower stars. Overall I think this is one of the best stays I had in many countries.

Extremely personable owner

Residence Les Bambous is on a little side street in Mahebourg, about a 5 minute ride from the new mall at Vallon Bo (close to the airport, but on the opposite side of the island from the capital and most of the resorts in the north). It is family owned, with a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. It's not luxurious but it is very affordable, and comfortable, with a nice bed, hot water in the shower, and a ceiling fan to keep the room cool.

Love this place!! We stayed here for my birthday and had the best time ever! Beautiful property in a paradise setting. Excellent service--you can text the front desk for anything you need, restaurant reservations, ice, problems, requests, etc. The seafood restaurant and bar were really nice. I picked this property for the beauty, location close to airport and the included unlimited water sports: kayak, SUP, catamaran, laser boat, padalo. (maybe more I'm forgetting, we had our own snorkel gear)...

We had a lovely time at Coco Villa — wonderful view over the ocean, very helpful and kind staff, and very comfortable room.

Wonderful experience, staff, comfort, atmosphere, beach and location, room was extremely clean and maintained every day, extremely helpful and friendly always, and also great food, should definitely be tried. Spent 12 days here and enjoyed every bit, Chantauvent was a big part of a great,great trip.
