The room and facilities were very nice, breakfast was good. But the main reason for our very favorable review is how the entire staff and the owners were so helpful. They spent lots of time talking to us and had useful recommendations on what to do, where to go, what to eat, and in general gave a wonderful introduction to the area. Above and beyond what we have experienced at similar properties.

Breakfast was always good. The property is a 7 minute walk to Playa Negra- which is a quite lovely beach. They have bikes at the hotel you can borrow which I used to go to the Playa Cochles (20 minutes) and Puerto Viejo (about 7 minutes). They pool there is very nice. I spent most of my time in the beach. The place was quiet and I slept very well. Having a/c was great- I dobt think I could have done without it and was a big reason why I decided to stay here. In short, highly recommend!

This is a beautiful hotel. Beautiful wood, restaurant and bar and the lush jungle landscape is just beautiful. Loved the pool also. The standout about this place though is the staff for sure. Young crew, very good manners and helpful. Be sure to tip them, they deserve it. We’ll return one day! We stayed in the Brisas cabin and it was awesome. Let me start by saying we had originally planned on staying only two nights, but then left our highly rated and fully paid for hotel to return to this gem. Why? Absolutely stunning property and am so glad we splurged a bit to stay here. Location is great - so close to Playa Negra and only a short drive from the main part of Puerto Viejo.
