I was a little worried during the taxi ride to the hotel that I had made a terrible mistake in picking the hotel as some of the areas look a little rough (by American standards), however, once at the gated hotel I realized that I indeed had made a good choice when choosing the location as the property is incredibly calming and beautiful. Just know that since you are out of the city you will need to use Uber eat or a taxi to get food as there is no onsite restaurant.
Beautiful property right on the river. There are so many beautiful birds and gardens. A sloth hug out in the tree right outside the door. It was never more than 6 meters above the ground. Pedro, the owner, could not have been better. The only warning I have, is make sure you email the owner yourself! Hotels.com did not forward my reservation to the hotel, so we had tons of trouble getting to the lodge. You must drive over a long dirt road full of rocks, which was terrible in a rental car and which Pedro will avoid by picking you up at the nearest paved road, if he knows you are coming. My little front-wheel drive Hyundai rental handled beautifully but, like all low-riding...
What a unique experience! The room included breakfast and a ~2 hour guided tour of the reserve. The rooms (with bunk beds) and the food/dining hall were bare bones, think summer camp vibes, but a summer camp where you are awakened by howler monkeys and tucans. Recommended!
This is a brand new property, recently built. This hotel has a great location, steps from the Costa Rica Convention Center, there are shopping malls, clinics, restaurants, at walkable distance.

I had a wonderful time at Casa 69. All of the staff were accommodating and friendly. Casa 69 is great for solo traveling, couples, or groups. The breakfast was amazing and they arranged pickup and drop off to/from the airport. I highly recommend and will be back again!
The hotel was right next to the airport which was great for our late arrival and early departure from Costa Rica. We arrived at 9:30pm and were able to check in and get a good night rest after our flight. We enjoyed the great breakfast in the morning before heading out. Took a while to find the place but when I arrived, finally, the hotel looked very inviting from the outside. I had the upstairs suite with a nice balcony overlooking the pool. The only thing was when I got to my room and it was late when I checked in, I didn't realize until an hour later that the cold knob in the shower was broken. No worries though, early next morning I was moved into another suite with my own private garden next to my bedroom. Thanks guys!
