"The hotel is located on a hillside not far from Miyaura Port. In the morning, rooms with balconies offer beautiful views and sunrises. Walking to the port doesn’t take long, and along the way you can see the red pumpkin and white birdcage illuminated by lights, creating a unique atmosphere in the evening. "It’s a wonderful hotel gives all the convenience to the guests. Easy walk to pier for ferry to Naoshima day trip after a well-planned breakfast. "Room wasn’t what we were expecting - beds were on a platform 3 steps up and had cot sides. Also no bathtub - we asked to be moved to a different room and eventually a compromise was found. They said that Expedia has mixed up the photographs between room types "

"Absolutely beautiful modern ryokan experience. Very quiet. Dining is in the restaurant, not the room, which is fine. Service is lovely by an international, less Japanese staff (needed as there are simply not enough people living on Naoshima to support the museum/tourism). We went in the summer raining season before schools let out, and it was very peaceful."
