The potential for the property to be in really good shape is there, but I’m sure there’s only one maintenance person available to do all the work for that entire property. I booked this hotel based on location, proximity to the ocean, and what appeared to be a fun attitude. Restricting guests to those over 18 years old played a part, as well. This hotel is in an area away from restaurants/ shops that are within easy walking distance. The immediate area was safe but empty, ie the surrounding buildings were businesses that were not open in the evening/ weekends. That being said the hotel has friendly staff, even if they were using walkie talkies in the hallways before 0800 (the reason for 4 out of 5 stars). The amenities were well cared for and clean. The addition of clam chowder available in the evenings was nice. It was pretty tasty....
