"Staff was amazing, especially the breakfast wait staff who are an absolute pleasure to interact with first thing in the morning. Mike at the front desk is a joy and went all out to meet our needs. We had dinner in the restaurant Sunday night and the staff and food were top notch. Here is were we are disappointed, the grounds are in horrible shape, this was Labor Day weekend and the grass was knee high. The fountain was dirty and there were stacks of dead limbs in many places. We walked up to dinner from cabin 31 and had to leave the sidewalk because of overgrowth. Being from the south and loving the history of old homes with the grounds and beautiful gardens, I hope this is not a sign of budgetary issues, usually this is the first cutback made when trouble arises."
