It was lovely fine days full of comfort from the always helpful stuff, gorgeous garden to walk and relax in, and a marvelous cliff overlooking the marina and sea of Funchal. The balcony/terrace was south oriented - full of flowers in pots, with a sunshade, table and chairs - lovely place to take a glass in the evening. The only small minus was a bit of possible noise from neighbour's room, but that wasn't a problem, rather just a notice.

This is an amazing place for those who wish to explore the north coast of Madeira and stay in a very comfortable, quiet setting. The service and attentiveness of the staff here is top notch, and you can have all the privacy that you desire. Our stay here totally exceeded expectations! The grounds are gorgeous and the room was enormous compared to the other hotels we stayed at in Lisbon and Porto. The staff were incredibly sweet and accommodating. The kitchenette in the room was such a welcome surprise. We were able to cook a nice dinner one evening that we enjoyed on the patio overlooking downtown Funchal. Definitely hit the breakfast for 12 euros at least once. It was charming and delicious.
