"This was an amazing stay Jamal and his wife go all out to give guests a great experience- nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is huge with a big selection of different items. The pool was an added bonus. The lady who cooks (sorry I don’t recall her name) is friendly and helpful as well as a good cook! It’s a few miles/kilometres out of Essaouira so a car is probably preferable but if you want a fab place to stay that is peaceful, calm and clean then this is the place for you! I will certainly return there if I visit Essaouira again. I just enjoyed chilling out by the pool and popping into Essaouira late afternoon/early evening. If I had one tiny criticism it’s about the coffee- I drink loads every day and if they’d invest in a proper coffee machine that would be an 11/10! However the fantastic Tea Royal more than made up for the lack of coffee machine! Merci Beaucoup. A la prochaine! "

"Fabulous boutique hotel. The breakfast was great-service excellent. The superior king suite was comfortable and quiet. Love the view and the pool which was heated. "

"The hotel was not good. The towels were shockingly old, the pillows REALLY old and the rooms uncomfortable. The whole stay was uncomfortable and shockingly bad for the price they were charging. The service was incredible. Mohammed was amazing. But I feel the owners of Villa Daba whom we never saw must be overcharging and letting the hotel go into disarray. The conditions of the room were shockingly old. I've never in my life seen pillows like this, or towels this old. If you're charging this much and insisting on cash payment, you must provide items not from decades ago. Also, it's not Essaouira. It's deceiving. Everywhere it says Villa Daba Essaouira. But it's 15 min from Essaouira. There is nothing close. Nothing. And the villa only offers a breakfast and that's it. The rooms are really hot and became insufferable at night, you can't open windows, no screens and lots of bugs. Tourist trap. We got a really bad rash from the pool and shower gel. Avoid."

"The hotel is very big with lots of facilities . The only thing is that service is quite slow and facilities like sauna and steam are only started when you are physically there . Therefore cannot be enjoyed fully as it takes time to heat up"

"Peaceful and fun weekend with girls in a beautiful oasis. Very mixed clientele; lots of couples, girl groups, families, all ages. Having adults Vs family pool areas also worked very well."

"If you are looking for a breather from the hustle and bustle, let this be your choice! Located just a few kilometres from Essaouira, Laurence and Alain have thoughtfully created just that, with lovely accomodation leading out onto a heated pool next to a welcoming restaurant. What makes this place extra special is the personal service by the owners and their chef, Mehdi, who prepared us delicious three course dinners in the evening at a very reasonable price. We felt totally spoilt and didn't want to leave."
