Upon arrival, we were taken to the Adults Only (AO) which is what I booked since that's my preference. There is a Family Resort (FR) in the front of the AO resort. The staff is polite helpful patient and happy. Keith at Carambola restaurant was exceptional. The pastry Chef came herself to discuss our gluten free need for the dessert. Everyone was accommodating. The rental car seemed to have stalled, the valet staff went above and beyond to help restart. While checking out the manager was courteous and handled everything with well. The property suit my needs. Everyone there were pretty nice. Yosef was very professional, very help and knowledgeable with a very nice attitude. I will definitely come back because of the reasonable pricing and the convenience to Philipsburg. Thanks Yosef for a job well done.
My only issue was with the parking. There is only room for 3 small cars to park. Once we were unable to leave the premises because non-guests were parked in front of our car with no way to contact them.
The staff and management was fantastic. We enjoyed ourselves with the bar and spa.
There is some work still being done to to repair some of the property but I don't know many places that aren't doing that.
The concierge was great helping us get excursions booked and getting us a driver!

Wonderful, intimate spa like in. Modern rooms, excellent wifi, comfortable bed. If you choose, we used kitchen for our meals, but the food was very good at the poolside bar restaurant. A car is recommended as it's quite hilly. This area has great restaurants and beaches close by, and a nice taste of French culture. Peggy is a wonderful hostess. A great escape!
This is the perfect place to have an ocean view room that is beautifully done. The hotel doesn’t offer a ton of amenities, but it’s in a great location on a beautiful beach. Come here to enjoy time with a partner, have access to beach restaurants and activities and rent a car to explore the island. Our concierge, Junior, was amazing and saved us by getting our passports to us after we had already arrived to the airport!
We spent 4 nights at La Hibiscus. Really enjoyed everything about it. Florian gave us a free upgrade to the Jasmine suite. Large, comfortable bed, great shower and bathroom. Great terrace for sunning and looking at the mountains. We had the pool to ourselves which we loved. Very hands off approach by management which meant great privacy which we like. Only 5 minutes to Orient Beach….great choice of restaurants including a couple of breakfast places. Will definitely come back. FYI….renting a car...
We had a great stay at GCBC. Beach was small, but we never had trouble finding chairs, pool was just redone and was beautiful. Restaurant was decent enough for breakfast and lunch but we went into Grand Case (a .5 mile walk) for dinner most nights. All the staff was excellent. We stayed in a loft studio and even though I enjoyed the loft, I'm not sure I would choose that room type again as the AC didn't reach the loft very well.
