The staff was amazing at this property. They were kind and helpful. They worked together well as a team and worked hard to truly make us feel welcome. The food was so good!! The room was really bright and the view was phenomenal. I recommend taking the water taxi from Picton, but the drive was scenic. Thank you Punga Cove for a memorable stay.
The well / recently updated condition of the hotel is far better than revealed in the photos of the property. The service was efficient and courteous. They have a lovely Japanese restaurant onsite that was full when we dined. People from outside also came in to dine. The pool and the bar were relatively small, but not that it bothered us. Lovely spacious motel in the middle of Picton, conveniently located to everything including the ferry terminal. The staff were very helpful and after-hours check in was well organized. This is the perfect place to stay the night before catching the ferry to the North Island, especially if you need to park a car!
Th⅚is is a gem of a little apartment hotel. The room was spotless clean, large and well-appointed. The balcony has a breathtaking view of the harbor and waterfront. The location is convenient- a short walk from the high street. All of the necessities are within easy. I had such a nice stay. Highly recommend!
Very cute, basic lodging. Room was nicely laid out, with a walkout to the patio. It's super quiet, as is most of Picton, especially in early May as winter approaches. Easy walk to restaurants and sites. Loved my stay and would definitely recommend!
This motel is quite close to the Picton Ferry Terminal, maybe about 2 minutes by car. One would think that the traffic must be terrible but it is not the case. The street is quiet and another 2 minutes or so to the waterfront area where there are a lot of restaurants. There are also 2 supermarkets close by.
The room is a good size, with a kitchenette, equipped with hobs and microwave and toaster. Good supply of tea and coffee.
