Every aspect of our stay was intentionally welcoming. From the welcome beverages to the bedside treat, we felt cared for every moment of our stay. The tour of the sanctuary allowed us to have an inside look into the life of Nelson Mandela. Each person at the sanctuary told us more about the beautiful history of his time there. We highly recommend a stay at the sanctuary to all who visit Johannesburg.

Spent my honeymoon at the Houghton Hotel and from being greeted with a rose and complimentary glass of wine, we knew it would be a pleasant experience. From the front desk staff to the restaurant we were well taken good care of! Our room was beautiful and spacious. Delicious food and most friendly staff, we loved Sisa!

Lovely hotel in a nice neighborhood in Johannesburg. Staff was lovely and the roof top bar was the perfect place to unwind after a day of touring. Would definitely stay again!

The security at this property is top notch. Every vehicle entering the gate is scanned and intent is verified. The reception at our arrival was so genuinely warm and professional. I arrived much earlier than check-in time, they accommodated me without hesitation. The staff was really nice. The food was great. The breakfast is unbelievable. My room was very clean and organized. I travelled with my family to Johannesburg in July 2023. We had a wonderful experience during our stay at the Holiday Inn Johannesburg Sunnyside. The staff was friendly and always ready to assist, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hotel's location was conveniently situated for tour pickups and in a safe area, making it easy for us to explore the city. Moreover, we thoroughly enjoyed dining at the on-site restaurant; the food was absolutely delicious. We had the buffet for breakfast...
The staff -- especially the managers -- really go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. Everything I asked about, they delivered or fixed without hesitation, and they were constantly checking to make sure I was satisfied.
When in Joburg, the Parkwood in Rosepark is a sanctuary of relaxation and luxury. John Paul makes you feel welcome and pampered and the suites are large, well appointed and more than comfortable for relaxing and sleeping when on property. So much better than much larger chain hotels throughout Joburg. Location and luxury make the Parkwood our top option.
A lovely guest house that is within walking distance to delicious restaurants, 27 boxes for shopping and a great area to have coffee or tea. The staff is friendly and accommodating and so helpful in booking tours. I would stay her again in a second. (Stayed November 2016)
