The cottage could use newer curtains, bed spread, and definitely a new couch the stairs are scary, wobbly and broken at the bottom step.the cottage is far from other towns and restaurants you definitely need a car.the kitchen was nice with everything you would need.we stayed 1week.internet was good.the heat was broken for 2 days in March so the house got cold but the management company was quick to respond
A truly delightful hotel in a convenient location with excellent staff and facilities. Impossible to fault overall - 2 tips… dont park under the trees in front of the building. I dont know what the birds eat, but they eat A LOT of it. Then theres steps….pack light, you’ll be hauling your luggage up a LOT of steps :-) - its a 13th century manor house, lifts werent a “thing” !
Our stay at the Lion was excellent. The only complaint was that the door to our room wouldn't lock, but other than that everything was great. I would definitely stay there again. Great location for shopping at Bicester Village and a short drive to Bleinheim Palace.
The rooms are fairly small, but this is to be expected in such an old building. Spotlessly clean, good supplies of tea, coffee and hot chocolate and biscuits provided too. High quality linens.
The pub itself serves good quality beer (Wadworth's and associates), and the home cooked food was also great and healthy(ish).
Breakfast was hearty, with a good choice of options.
Staff couldn't help enough... Just about perfect really!
Sue greeted us at reception, she was very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and tidy.
Evening meal was delicious and served quickly.
A nice short stay and would recommend to potential guests!
We absolutely loved our stay - the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful.
Breakfast was great, lots of options. We enjoyed all the food we ate there, great variety on the menu and fresh tasting food.
We booked to stay here during the British Grand Prix and thought it was excellent value for money. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and seem recently renovated. Our room was up lots of stairs - this wasn’t a problem for us but worth considering your luggage.
Highly recommend!
Friendly staff. Rooms are older, but the Inn was built in the 1500's, so what do you expect? Rooms were a great size and the water pressure was outstanding. Breakfast was great and included with our stay. Good restaurant too for dinner.
Wonderful staff, cozy and rustic setting, and awesome food! We also loved hearing the owls every morning and meeting the locals' pets (very pet-friendly).
Room was clean comfy bed , staff friendly
Breakfast ok , seemed if the English breakfast items had been kept warm so little bit dry but ok .
Fan supplied in bedroom which helped as we were ther on 2 very hot evenings in July.
Overall good
On arrival we were given very friendly welcome, and we're told upgrade us to deluxe room, which we were very pleased with.
Room was on upper floor, and had lift to second floor then few stairs to our room.
Room was very comfortable, with sofa and chair, good size bathroom with bath and walk in shower, and comfortable bed.
Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice, and we also had dinner one night and was ok.
Would definitely recommend.
We had a great stay here fabulous hotel but the food was not up to the standard of hotel pretty basic really if I’m honest.
Brealoat both restaurants were ok nothing special and evening meal on both night just fine nothing special
It is rare to find something that has hit all high marks, but the Remont did it!
I stayed a week and my son 3 nights, two rooms booked.
The staff were the BEST- I meet Monica at check in and then Alex and another woman who's name I can't remember-sorry. All staff were professional and very conscious of the role of they play in the guest's satisfaction. Rooms were well designed, bathrooms roomy and the breakfast had a good variety- the cut fresh fruit was my go-to with a selection of yogurts and...
Truly excellent hotel with fantastic service. Food was best I have had in a hotel for years. Room was small but very well appointed and spotless. This is probably one of the best hotels to stay in Oxford. Well located, just a short walk to the city center.
