Great service and beautiful property, amazing sunsets. Internet was having an issue so owner went into town to get us a mobile system to make sure we were taken care of! Food at the property was excellent also.
This is a great value in the Kalamata area. The only downside is that you are not right on the beach, but that is more than offset by the fact that, unlike the beach front, it is quiet, every room has a spectacular view and you don't even have to cross the street to go to the beach. The staff are great. The beach front bar is great. Very good, classic Greek food as well. Can't go wrong with this place.

I was in Kalamata for a wedding and couldn’t be happier with my stay! The hotel is located in a very peaceful area outside of city center but only about 10min taxi away from all the action. I never felt more inspired and relaxed at any other hotel. The pool is huge and deep enough for people to swim in. Property is gorgeous and has many cute cats roaming around. Charming central Kalamata hotel in a modernized and comfortable late 19th Century mansion. The hosts, George and Effi, are charming and helpful with dinner reservations, and local information. We will be back. Note- there isn't an elevator here but George is ever helpful with hauling the luggage up the stairs.
We had an amazing experience at Villa Vager. We were greeted by a very friendly host who took our bags up to our second level room. The room was spacious and so cozy. We had to leave early in the am to get to the airport so they accommodated us with an early breakfast. They brought the food up to our private veranda and it was very delicious. We wish we could have spent another few nights, maybe next time!
