This was a FABULOUS stop during our around the country tour of Ireland! I HIGHLY recommend using the deep tub and reading a book! I also recommend downloading and using What's App so you can contact the host. We were nervous at first when we couldn't find our previous e-mail on our phones but Phillip sent a second e-mail and then we were gran! The biggest problem was not being able to phone because of the UK's restriction on long distance numbers. (Again, What's App is a great suggestion!) We...
I stayed in Newcastle for three nights and was incredibly fortunate to choose Drummer Lodge. The location, surrounding environment, and the room’s facilities can only be described as excellent and delightful—absolutely fantastic! The hostess, Fiona, and her husband, Perry, are both extremely friendly and warm, making you feel right at home in no time.
At dawn, the chirping birds under the giant Scottish pine trees gently wake you from a restful night’s sleep, as the distant mountains emerge from...
Such a beautiful bed and breakfast! The breakfast was delicious and the owner knew so much about cooking for people who can't eat gluten. The rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable! It was quiet and peaceful. We loved our stay!
Everything was perfect. Cleanliness, amenities, comfort of the beds, hot water for the showers, spacious room and bathroom.
I would definitely recommend Homestead Hilsborough guest house!
This is a beautiful 4-star hotel. From the moment we entered the door and walked up to the reception desk to the moment we checked out, we had friendly, impeccable service. The room was spacious and beautiful. The restaurant for breakfast was lovely. We would definitely stay here again.

Grounds are very nice and there’s a gentle climb down to the river, a beautiful spot on the patio to sit out for a drink or morning coffee — and the breakfast was excellent as well (I had to go for the Ulster Fry (similar to the Full English) both mornings. Wish we could have stayed longer, but hope to go back. Seems to be a holiday spot for the Irish and those from the UK, not...
