A hotel with character, this will be one of my favorites. The room was large, as I think there are only 5, and obviously modernized with a shower and toilet from the original, but it was done well and it's very comfortable. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, with breakfasts that are made to order, and they even allow you to order two on those days you are extremely peckish. There is an elevator too! Very clean, very safe and delightfully beautiful.

Although I gave a slightly lower grade for comfort, overall, this is a very good hotel considering its nightly rate and location. If you want the feel and excitement of Bogota this is the place! It is within walking distance to plentiful restaurants and museums. If you like a good brew, the Bogota Beer Company is two blocks away. Bear in mind this hotel is over 200 years old, so, hot water could be interrupted, and heating is not the best. I find the comforter and blanket adequate for the...

Cannot say enough great things about this hotel. I arrived after midnight, and the lovely woman who attends the front desk at night made me lasagna and passion-fruit juice. The rooms are quaint. The value, like all things in Colombia, is extraordinary. This hotel would be $250/night in the US.
