We arrived at Kilmurry Lodge after a long drive from Dublin in the rain that was much longer than expected. Check in was seamless and then we went to the restaurant for an excellent meal to unwind and relax. We absolutely loved the Bedford. It was so clean and comfortable with top notch amenities. The breakfast at the Cafe downstairs was by far the best we’ve had while in Ireland. The staff is tremendous and went out of their way to check us in early so we could rest after being up for over 24 hours what with the time difference and all. A big shout out to Eva who went above and beyond to make our stay one we will not forget. Stay at The Bedford you will be so glad that you did!

When we arrived the parking was crowded due to an in process wedding event. We were able to navigate to the car park even though the front entrance was over crowded. The front desk staff were helpful and efficient with checkin. Rooms were well maintained, but took a little while to cool off to our desired temp. Breakfast was a complete buffet and easy met our expectations. The hotel was convenient to the M7 highway to Dublin which was great for us

Now, THIS is a hotel. Unlike my last stay (at the Moxie in downtown NYC) the Strand does not skimp on the amenities. The room was spacious and fully equipped, the bed comfortable, the service excellent. The location across the river is both extremely close to the heart of Limerick while not being stuck in the middle of it. I would not recommend eating at The River (the in-hotel restaurant) though. My meals were mediocre at best. But that's my only quibble.
