It was wonderful to be in Ireland again and at this wonderful Hotel. Staff, food & rooms were the best! Even the dinner we had for our Irish cousins in the BAR area was great service and we all enjoyed. Please let all your staff know how great they were. Very Clean & relaxing.
Have a nice day & Many Blessings Jo Ann Thomas
This is a very nice hotel in the heart of Kilkenny - easy walking to attractions, shopping and dining. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Easy parking across the street. Good breakfast buffet.
Just loved this place. Courtney checked us in and was most a accommodating! We loved our room spacious, filled with light with view of the cows in the green green pasture. Just lovely. The bathroom was very modern and large with noce decor. Very clean great decorating love the plaid curtains and art work.
The Hatch, which is part of this business and across the parking lot, is lovely and has a delicious breakfast offering. The rooms are clean and new. Mild disturbances with doors slamming shut, but overall a very affordable and nice stay.
We stayed one night in this charming old hotel. The location was decent, the beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean and it was very quiet. Like many of the hotels we stayed in during our trip to Ireland, the bathroom was small with a very tiny sink and the room was fairly small, too. There was virtually no where to put suitcases except on the floor. But all we needed was a place to sleep, so these weren't deal-breakers. Also, you need to stick your room keycard into a slot on a wall in the...
We were in London and Ireland for 10 nights and stayed at a total of 5 locations and this was by far our favorite! It is a beautiful hotel, the beds are extremely comfortable, the staff were so kind, the food was excellent, and the location was very accessible to pubs and the Kilkenny castle. We wished we could stay longer.
A very nicely refurbished hotel did not have the leisure entrée open, but hopefully open soon. Food was well presented. I’m very tasty. Rooms are a little small, but OK for a single traveler.
We had a lovely stay @ Launard house! Sharon & Adam provided exceptional service & hospitality. This was the 11th lodging stop for us (Scotland & Ireland) and the first to have a top sheet & washcloths, which we appreciated as Americans. Sometimes it’s the little things!😃 We walked into town for dinner with dozens of great dining choices. Breakfast was delicious and we wish we could have stayed longer.
absolutely loved our stay here, the staff were incredibly kind and helpful, the setting lovely, rooms comfortable, breakfast delicious and plentiful!
only thing I would have like to see was improvement on eco friendly front, replacing the tiny toiletries with bigger bottles that are refilled in the showers and the same with all of the little plastic water bottles.
Free parking. Amazing location in town. Friendly staff. The room was large. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was really good. Breakfast was included and excellent. Only bad thing was the view out our window.
Great staff, and very comfortable, recently renovated. We have visited the city since 1982, and find the Viking the best hotel as well as great value.
Highly recommended.
This was our favorite spot! Des and Sue hit the jackpot with their property on the little hill that overlooks the town of Waterford, including part of the Waterford castle. They recently rennovated part of their home four years ago so that it is like staying in a VERY nice hotel, but the bed and breakfast comfort/feel. They were incredibly hospitable (even went on a late night ice cream run per my Dad's request--he never intended they go to buy something, just if they already had it; but they...
We were caught up in the British Air problems when our flight was cancelled requiring us to rebook. We were able to get on a flight one hour earlier than our previous flight, which meant we had to leave in a hurry. The woman at the front desk was wonderful about getting us breakfast to go and directions to Dublin airport. We made our flight, all thanks to her!
