Location with ocean view was unexpected at such a reasonable price. I was in the two bedroom unit and not only could I see the ocean from two different angles, there was also a private balcony! The place was warm and toasty with effective heaters, and I appreciated that even the kitchen knives were sharp.
The staff are welcoming and helpful, and there was even a library of good books in the reception office that I could borrow.
We stayed for three nights.
Great place to stay, a bit out of the way, cabin was good, only thing was that you needed $2 coin to have a 5 min shower that didn’t get warm for over 2 min of that and then very hard to keep temp control!

Our 2-bedroom unit was large, well equipped for cooking, comfortably furnished, an easy walk into Gore to shop, dine or visit the public rose garden, and a convenient drive to fishing streams. Kelly and James, the proprietors, are friendly, welcoming and helpful. We will stay here again next season.

Olde rstyle motel but upgraded facilities. Guest laundry available. We planned 4 days in Gore for flyfishing, because the Charlton worked out so well for us we extended an additional 3 days. Even in this shoulder season they were booked almost every night

Over the night we stayed, the tire became flat. We woke up to find this out the next morning, a Sunday, when we were planning to head out of town to our next destination. The manager went out of their way to allow us to check out later AND even posted to the local Facebook group to find a mechanic to help us when all shops were...
