It's a very good base for walking in the area, though the lake is not as pretty as Titisee up the road. Parking was easy, luckily, but they also give you a pass while you're there and you can take the train wherever you want. If you have a dog, the facilities are good and they were very kind. There's a nice park just up the hill, great for early morning or late night walkies. Very convenient to a grocery store, an atm, and right across the street from the tourist information center! Ruth, the owner of this lovely hotel made us feel like family. We had a delicious dinner at the restaurant. The breakfast included a variety of breads, cold cuts, cheeses, marmalade, yogurts and fruit, boiled egg, juices and Coffee. A great breakfast to start the day. The bed was very comfortable. We highly recommend Hotel-Restaurant SchöpPerle! We will be back at our next visit to the Black Forest . Thank you Hotel-Restaurant SchöpPerle for a fantastic stay.

From my room, I experienced beautiful views of the mountains and enjoyed natural light within the well maintained and nicely decorated room. Staff were incredibly kind and the restaurant served tasteful meals each night of my stay.
