I stumbled upon Sombea during a trip through Southern Germany, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. The staff is helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the restaurant is delicious. If I find that my travels take be back to the Schwarzwald, I will be staying at Sombea again.
A wonderful location in the Black forest with the flair of the old Germany the old Black Forest the people working there were absolutely wonderful. It’s a very classy environment. Fantastic food, fantastic wine from barrels. They also have a sauna and a honor system in the seller so if you would like wine or any other beverage, you just take it put your name on it and pay at the end beautiful environment. It was magical, whimsical and wonderful every step of the way. We couldn't complain about a thing! The staff was so kind and friendly and fun. The sad thing was that we had to leave . You must stay there if your in the Black Forest:)
We loved this hotel. We had a bit of a time finding it, but we were really happy with the stay there. The breakfast had EVERYTHING and was very good.
I really loved the parlor off the bedroom; I did not expect to have a second room. It had a couch, table, shelf unit and television. It was perfect for watching TV and not disturbing someone sleeping!

My husband and I chose this wonderful hotel to stay in when we visited the Black Forest this past weekend. We had a wonderful time! Couldn't ask for better staff. We were so surprised of the cleanliness and how beautiful our room was. We didn't have to drive far for the activities we wanted to do and places we wanted to see. Would love to stay here again if we ever make it back to the Black Forest.
The apartment was incredibly spacious and well outfitted for a family of 4 to enjoy. The washing facilities were also very affordable. These apartments were in the middle of everything and very walkable to them, shops and restaurants but it wasn't too loud.
This is a superb place to stay, especially with a dog. I traveled with a well-behaved 20 lb terrier, and the beds were comfortable, the water was hot and plentiful in the shower, and most of all, the grounds and proximity to hiking trails made it worthwhile. The food in the restaurant from breakfast to dinner was outstanding. I would come back here in a heartbeat.
Just one suggestion, my bathroom was a little cramped and I was really missing a full-length mirror somewhere in the room.

Extremely clean. The location is very good. Directly in the town center and local attractions ie hiking, etc. within a few minutes drive. The staff made us feel at home. The restaurant is a top rated restaurant in Germany.
