"This is a hotel you'll want to return to. The location is superb, right in the heart of the Black Forest. The rooms are very comfortable, with balconies and views of the mountains and forest. They have everything you need, except for the minibar. The breakfast is fantastic, with the option of ordering egg dishes. A wide selection of cheeses, sausages, vegetables, and fruits is available. Champagne is also available. The staff is ready to help with any questions. The spa complex consists of several saunas and a small pool. There's a panoramic sauna, but it's not very conveniently located. There are a lot of steps. Conclusion: a fantastic hotel for a relaxing holiday."

"I stumbled upon Sombea during a trip through Southern Germany, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. The staff is helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the restaurant is delicious. If I find that my travels take be back to the Schwarzwald, I will be staying at Sombea again."

"We booked this at the last minute on the day of and were pleasantly surprised at how nice this place was. Room was super comfortable, everyone was very friendly and bonus was finding out this hotel opened its doors in 1244.. you read that right. Historic hidden gem. Loved it."
