This property is amazing, Our spacious rooms were above the stables, no elevator. We could hear the horses neighing on occasion and hear them being walked by at different times of the day. We all said we could live here. The grounds are pristine. The breakfast (15eu pp) was fabulous. Unfortunately, the restaurant for lunch and dinners was closed on Mon/Tuesdays. We would stay here over and over. Only 25-20 min to Zurich airport. 15 min to Rheinfalls.
I stumbled upon Sombea during a trip through Southern Germany, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. The staff is helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the restaurant is delicious. If I find that my travels take be back to the Schwarzwald, I will be staying at Sombea again.
A wonderful location in the Black forest with the flair of the old Germany the old Black Forest the people working there were absolutely wonderful. It’s a very classy environment. Fantastic food, fantastic wine from barrels. They also have a sauna and a honor system in the seller so if you would like wine or any other beverage, you just take it put your name on it and pay at the end beautiful environment. You can see all the hills and mountains. Nice cute little town walking distance to a bus...

My husband and I chose this wonderful hotel to stay in when we visited the Black Forest this past weekend. We had a wonderful time! Couldn't ask for better staff. We were so surprised of the cleanliness and how beautiful our room was. We didn't have to drive far for the activities we wanted to do and places we wanted to see. Would love to stay here again if we ever make it back to the Black Forest.
