Considering the hotel's distance from what I consider big cities in Germany, I found the hotel to be a charming spot close to the Baltic Sea. I arrived in Berlin on a delayed flight out of Madrid and left the car rental after midnight in Berlin. I arrived in Warnemunde at 2:30 in the morning, where there was staff able to open the door and check me in. The room was adequate with plenty of electric outlets to charge up my gear. Easy access via Bus 25 from Hbf, up 3 stops to Schroederplatz, and then Motel One is right there and also very close to the Kropeliner Tor and the main shopping district and old town. Although my room directly faced towards the Christmas markets and the children’s rides across the street, I barely heard the noise from my room.
Breakfast buffet was fairly standard, no complaints.
I do wish there was a coffee/tea maker in my room; however. Overall, good value and location.
September at the Baltic Sea, we stayed at the IFA hotel in Graal-Mueritz , can be really cold and windy, but we were so lucky and had such good weather. The region Mecklenburg -Vorpommern has the largest forest close to the coast and the most beautiful sandy beach.
The B&B Hotel was a great budget-friendly, centrally-located hotel. All parts of the city were easily accessible, the hotel staff was friendly and spoke English, and everything was very clean. It was also right across the street from a Rossmann and a few grocery stores. I only gave 4 stars because the bed was very uncomfortable; the mattress was hard and the pillows were basically nonexistent because they were so flat. Otherwise, this is a great hotel for a few nights.
