The staff and breakfast buffet were wonderful. A short walk to the river and lovely scenery all around. It was nice having a balcony off the room.

The hotel was wonderful. It was very comfortable and in a quiet location. The check in was contact-less, which was a bit confusing for me, but worked out well. Parking was a bit difficult as there are limited spaces in front of the hotel. There is additional parking down by the river but we did not realize this when first getting there. The proprietor is also the chef and a world class one. He was extremely accommodating in getting us into our rooms early. The evening three course menu was so good that we took the beef for our lunch when we left. Great stay

Had an awesome one night stay here. Clean, friendly team, all that we needed in the room, great location, and easy access to the bus system. Loved the town! Quaint, fun shops, nice people. The baked items at the Friday market are the bomb!

What a wonderful property- beautiful, clean and good location. Christiana was lovely and welcoming. Our room was large, especially by European standards, with a gorgeous bathroom - very luxurious. First off this hotel was great. We had stayed 4 nights and enjoyed it very much. The hotel staff were so friendly, nice, and welcoming. They all spoke English which made it very easy to ask questions or order food. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was all delicious and the scenery around the hotel is so peaceful and relaxing. After two nights at the Maerchen Hotel we decided to extend one night, and they were very accommodating. We stayed in two different rooms--both with very different arrangements and decor--decidedly charming.. The fairy tail theme was used throughout--but was discreet and not over the top. We booked a room for 1 night as our son's wedding reception was held at the hotel. When we arrived, we were met by very attentive wait staff.
