Very cool place

Great service from front desk to dining staff. Hotel is perfectly quaint like the beautiful town of Rothenburg...super clean, beds are comfy & bathroom looks newly renovated.

This property is well maintained and the service was excellent. It is roughly 10 minutes walking distance to the train station which has routes to Nuremberg and Rothenberg. The restaurant is fantastic and very well priced. Our room was spacious (even by U.S. standards) and modern, and I never heard any noise from neighboring guests. Honestly the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was available if you purchased it. Don’t expect a full spread of protein. If you’re on a higher floor and you have heavy luggage prepare for that. The room has a rotating floor fan and a separate mini ac unit but there wasn’t really a way to hook it up to the window in my room so it got pretty warm. Overall the place is located near the train station , short walk and if you are visiting folks in the military you aren’t getting any closer.

An exceptional choice for Rothenburg odT Literally, when you step out of the hotel, you are at the most photogenic spot in the village. Breakfast amazing and the staff exceptional! Highly recommend!ed!

The best place we stayed during our 2 week travel in Bavaria. The hotel has two buildings. We stayed in the historic one, and the ambience is charming. The newer one, where the checkin desk is located, is also nice. Both hotel restaurants offer great dinner options. The breakfast (served in the newer building) is excelent -- one again, the best in these two weeks. The location is most central. Parking: you can park overnight for free in the street just nearby, during the day it is 2 hour limit....

This hotel was a little gem. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very yummy and timely every morning. The room was cute and clean. There is nothing bad to be said about this hotel. The location is great, as well!

We were very pleasantly surprised by our stay at Burg Colmberg. We had wanted a hotel with old world charm but were not expecting such modern amenities in the rooms, too! The setting itself is lovely and the castle is fun to wander through as there are interesting public rooms to explore. From the moment we pulled up, the staff was very welcoming and helpful. A great property easily accessible and convenient to sights in the area. While the property and rooms are pretty basic, it is very clean and has all the essentials and good amount of space. The high ceilings make them feel bigger. My only suggestion is to upgrade the mattresses as they are simply plastic covered foam pads. A perfect place for a night or as a base to explore. We loved both the hotel and restaurant! The dinner was exquisite, and they were so accommodating to us with our two year old (tons of toys for our daughter to play with at the restaurant!). And the breakfast in the morning was just delicious. We were so sad to leave!
