The owners are perfect for their roles as hosts and cooks! They renovated this old building with plenty of history in the center on a quaint and charming village. She decorated it beautifully and the rooms are named after their own children and grandchildren. He is the friendly grillmaster who cooked us a huge and delicious English breakfast. They both were so helpful and cheerful in friendly conversation. They truly enjoy welcoming guests from around the world and opening their home to them....
Love this 400 year old hotel. I have stayed here before years ago and nothing has changed, which is good. Food is still great and Spa is great way to relax for an afternoon!
We had a wonderful stay in the cottage at The Castle Hotel in Lincoln. The cottage was spacious, comfortable, and perfect for our family. It gave us plenty of room to relax after a day of exploring the city, and everything was clean and well-maintained.

Hotels.com advertise breakfast but this hotel doesn't serve breakfast. As it was a Sunday the place over the road the hotel recommends was closed but we found a fab alternative about 5 minutes away on Gateford Rd called Snakattak. Otherwise the stay was great. Worksop is a bustling market town (at least while we were there) with a lively market that meanders along the High Street and very friendly locals. Will definitely go back.
The place was cute, and the neighbor was very kind, he came out to talk to us when we were trying to figure out parking the first night. The drive isn’t big enough for any car larger than a Mini, but there’s ample space for parking on the curb. The only real downside was the amount of bugs within the property. Any corner that was looked at held spiders of considerable size. I don’t recommend this place to anyone who’s as sensitive to those things as I am. We sat on the back porch the first night...
