We very much enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Katerain. The staff, service, food, and location were exactly what we needed. I will return often. While I very much appreciated that the hotel had AC, my only criticism would be that they don't allow guests to control their own AC. Nevertheless, we will happily return.

I stayed there during Olomouc half marathon event and the hotel made our stay very pleasant by providing bottle of water, protein bars and discount on special marathon menu in their restaurant. They also prolonged their SPA opening hours until midnight so that runners could go rest in there after the evening race. The rooftop SPA has a nice sauna, whirlpool, chillout area and a bar.

The hotel is just opposite the train station and about 25 minutes walk or four tram stops from the upper and lower squares (the old center of Olomouc). The staff spoke English and was helpful.
