Very charming small beachfront hotel with a beautiful patio on the water. Excellent, very reasonably-priced food on the menu and a fantastic included breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful, really made the stay a pleasure. I can really only hit them on one thing, we had three people, so used the fold-out couch as a second bed; it was a bit dusty and the mattress was a little thin; I could feel the metal frame member beneath it which was a bit uncomfortable. Its was a great stop before our cruise. Shiloh was such a great help with our room and helping us get around. The check in woman in the morning was wonderful, she helped order us a taxi. The room was clean, big, quiet. The area had a lot of resturants and by the water. If we come back to Portsmouth well stay again!
This hotel had a great location near the ferry and bus station. and welcoming staff. I had a single room, which was very small but adequate. It would’ve been nice to have a shelf by the sink or in the shower for toiletries. No place to put soap or shampoo. Something so simple would’ve made my stay so much better.
We only had a short stay at the Ship Leopard hotel being a transit from train to the morning ferry. The hotel is perfectly located immediately across the street from the train station, but offered so much more. Surrounded by great restaurants, historic sites, and shopping, it turned out to be the perfect location for our visit to Portsmouth Harbor. The hotel itself is very comfortable with a friendly staff and good amenities. The room was comfortable and made for a nice stay.
A lovely, very well maintained inn with a restaurant and pub, within walking distance of the ferry terminal. First rate menu with daily specials including fresh seafood. Pub has local ales on hand-pull. Spotless clean rooms with daily maid service. Friendly and competent staff. Note that this establishment is located in a residential neighborhood, so no other stores nearby.
Stayed here for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Had 2 excellent evening meals in the Brasserie. Spa treatments need to be booked in advance. There was no availability for my wife in our stay. However, used the spa pool and hot rooms after a day's long walk (Freshwater Bay well recommended for this) which were excellent.
