"We had an excellent time here, I can say almost everything was perfect. The customer service here was perfect. Alex was the guy that helped me out most of the time and I can say he was the most helpful guy I have ever met and he even helped me plan out the perfect proposal to ask my partner to be my girlfriend, because of the way Alex treated us we will for sure comeback soon and we will recommend this hotel to everyone when visiting the island. Thank you to Alex and everyone else!"

"We are passing through Sao Sebastiao and stayed for two nights there. Right next to bus station. 16 minutes walk to ferry to cross over to ilhabela. 10 minutes walk to the promenade, with lot of bars and Resturants. Good breakfast and free coffee and tea and snacks all day. Staffs and the woner are very friendly and accommodating. Perfect stay for us."

"This was my first time in Ilhabela and I’m grateful I chose to stay here! The staff were so amazing the minute I checked in and recommended so many great beaches and restaurants. The room was extremely clean and just like the pictures. The view from the pool over looking the beach and mountains is magical. You’re close to everything and can walk to restaurants and beach. I love to run so if you do to I’d recommend a run during the day or at night . I will definitely stay here again!"

"The bathtub was very dirty, with hair everywhere. In addition, check-in was delayed and the room was not ready even though we arrived after the official check-in time. Unfortunately, this made for an unpleasant welcome."

"I loved this place. They even have towels to use by the pool and beach. The beach close by is clean and has no waves. The breakfast was also very good "

"The pools fed by the waterfall made Hotel Mercedes stand out from anywhere else. Be aware that bad weather can effect the use. There was torrential rains while we were there, the pools had to be emptied and cleaned, but the couple days being able to use it were worth it. There is some snorkeling under and beside the dock. Visibility is poor. Don't make snorkeling the reason you come. Staff was very pleasant , especially the front desk. "
