We selected the Best Western in Exeter while visiting Sequoia and Kings Canyon. It’s located in a small, quite farming town. We found Restaurants were limited in town but had Lunch on day one and Dinner on day two in Three Rivers at River View (great hamburgers and chicken sandwiches). The hotel did sever a small continental breakfast you can take back to your room. Travel time to the Sequoia visitor center was appx. 1 hr and to Kings Canyon was about 1 1/2 hours.

stayed 1 night, 2 people in an accessible room which meant our sleeping area was huge. extremely comfortable beds and pillows- like sleeping on clouds. the breakfast is the icing on the cake, and as a foodie, I was very satisfied with the generous delicious offerings, and as a coffee drinker I was quite surprised that they actually served REALLY good coffee! we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I would book there again. I highly recommend it.

This hotel is on the way to Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park from Los Angeles. One of the last large, budget hotels due south of the Park, before you start getting into the smaller, resort-priced places right next to the Park. The Motel 6 in nearby Porterville LOOKS cheaper--but BEWARE! The Motel 6 hides a $50 "administrative fee" in addition to the price advertised on Hotels.com. So I'd rather stay at a place that just tells me how much its rooms costs, like Super 8 did, than a place...
