"When you turned on the shower the water some how still went on the floor. No matter how we moved the curtain. The room was very hot when we first got in. It felt like we had to automatically pay for parking. Didn’t feel like there was a choice to park outside which was a bit annoying."

"Everything was great. Breakfast was good. The buffet had scrambled eggs and my husband asked if they could make ehgs sunny side up and they did! Very good. Our server Santos was very nice. The bar had my scotch!!! Very pleased!!!"

"We had a wonderful time, the hotel was very clean and well maintained. Nice pool area with comfortable chairs under shaded areas. Very good breakfast, not just waffles and cereal but eyes, bacon, potatoes plus waffles and more. Had a happy hour every day from 5 till 7 with adult beverages regular drinks and appetizers. I would highly recommend this place. We will definitely go back."

"Check in time is at 4 and if we arrive sooner, we are charged an early check in fee. But in our case, we arrived at 4 and our room was not ready. They said they could possibly have it ready by 4:30pm. I said is that a guarantee and they said no. I asked for a discount since they would be late and they said no they could offer me a pool pass to wait at the pool. I had kids and we needed to unload after our 4 hour drive so I said no. Then a room all of a sudden came up and they checked us in at almost 430 anyway. We get to the room amd as soon as we open it, it smells, it smelled like fish. The housekeeper was across the hall so I asked if she could spray our room. She was beyond amazing and checked it. As soon as she walked in she said, "I don't think your room was even cleaned." Honestly fooled me because other than the smell nothing really looked off. She stocked our towels and sprayed the room so good that you would never know it was bad. The sheets we did remove because they too were dirty and there was some trash behind some chair on the corner. The housekeeper did her best but we should've never been placed in that room. I went to CVS and bought cleaners and cleaned the room myself so that we didn't disturb the housekeeper anymore. She really was amazing and kind. I think had that not been the case I would've complained and asked for another room but since she was so great I didn't feel the need to be unkind. Other than that, the staff is kind and amenities are great."
Lively Beach

"This is definitely the nicest place to stay on North Beach, but I took 1 star away for a few reasons. The room’s dehumidifier was SUPER loud, like it will wake you up. And the sliding glass door windows don’t have darkening curtains, so even at night it’s a bright in there. The shades roll down over the door which is so odd, so you have to roll the whole thing up just to go to the patio (rather than simply sliding a curtain over a couple feet to slip out). It sounds small but it’s enough to wake up a sleeping partner with the noise and light and just not a thoughtful user experience. I was able to check in early which was nice, but their standard check in is 4 pm which is pretty late compared to other hotels and their checkout is 10am, an hour earlier than most. Overall spacious and nice, the boardwalk to the beach is cool and the pool looked nice as well! Really appreciated their dog friendly policies!"
