I was attending a doggy event in the area and the location was excellent, just minutes away from the venue, so no need to get up so early to get ready. Was very dog friendly. Lots of room to let dogs run, but need to watch out for the ducks and Guinea hens, no fenced yard so dogs need to have good recall if running off leash. Owners had no issues letting the dogs swim in the in-ground pool, which the dogs loved. There was no TV in the room, no WiFi setup and cell reception was almost non...

We'd usually stayed a local motels just for the convenience, but those were unexpectedly out of our price range this time, so we were delighted to find this B&B in a historic home, in the neighborhood where one of us had grown up. Being in town made it more convenient than the motels which are near the interstate west of town. We worried about a shared rather than a private bath, but there was no problem as there was only one other bedroom occupied and our schedules did not "collide."
