Hotels in Halfway

"The hotel was conveniently located off the highway with a Waffle House nearby. The rooms were bug free but left alot to be desired. The door was very difficult to open and required two of us to get in the room. The room was very dated and had a hole in the ceiling, in the corner, that had a painted picture on it. If I was by myself or just had the kids with me, I would not of stayed because of safety reasons with the hole in the ceiling and the difficulty with the door. Since I was with 2 other women, it didn't concern me. The elevator was "interesting" for lack of a better term, but it worked."

"This is a bare bones economical option for somewhere to stay when a lot of amenities are not needed. No room service unless requested. Haven’t get your own towels, toilet paper. They have Kitchenettes int eh room but you have to purchase pans from hotel to cook cause they’re induction pans. $40 for that. The biggest thing was we found that there were families living in these hotel rooms. Sad but true. So it’s a different clientele so to speak than a normal hotel we are use to. We don’t have a lot of options in choosing hotels in the area as we were there handling hail claims for insurance and all hotels were booked by other roofers, ins co, auto repair companies, tow truck drivers and so forth. Beds were decent. Showers were good pressure. This was a new hotel as well. Interesting to see how it is in a few years."

"The pillows were a bit lumpy but the bed was comfortable enough. The doors tend to slam behind people which is disruptive to anyone who is sleeping at the time. Otherwise it was a good night's rest at the end of our vacation and journey home."

"The breakfast and dinner buffets make it easy to stop for an overnight stay without having to go out and find a meal somewhere. Breakfast is a cut above most other hotel breakfasts. I like the fact that they always have hot homemade oatmeal. Also yogurt, boiled eggs, waffles, pancakes, eggs, potatoes, sausage, etc. Dinner provides several options. Not to be compared with going out to a restaurant, but ample and adequate. On one stay there was fish and sauted veggies. Another time pulled pork sandwiches and baked potatoes. Always chili and salad and nachos, as well."
