We stayed at Hotel Kasztel because we were approaching Krakow from the east and it looked rather unique. The decor is definitely original! Everything was new, clean, and comfortable. The staff was helpful and served a great buffet breakfast. Only regret was that the drive into Krakow took longer than we had expected.
Right next to the salt mine and beautiful property next to park! You can get a tour at any time even if it’s sold out if you stay here. Loved the property!
The spa is a little deceiving, there’s 1 treatment room and no masseuse on site, they have to call and book it. Also the salt soak is a room with a picture of the salt cave on it so it’s not really in a salt cave.
It was a surprise that this hotel was so lovely--for the price, especially. I was only staying here because it seemed nice enough for a one-night stop to pick up my fella from the nearish Krakow airport, but it would have been worth a longer stay, for sure.
It has a kinda old-world thing going on, with big private balconies and lots of burgundy and lots of dark wood, but the pool and soaking tub is in a very shiny, fetchingly designed new building.

Hotel was great for our visit to the salt mine and Krakow. Rooms are large and modern compared to most hotels we've stayed at throughout Europe. We had a 5 min drive to the salt mine and were able to take the train into Krakow as a station is right outside the hotel. Breakfast was great each morning.
What a fantastic gem of a property. Surrounded by woods in a quiet neighborhood, immaculate hotel with professional staff and free parking. We felt absolutely safe walking to nearby shops and dining. Also commuter train nearby. The breakfast was a gigantic buffet of meats, cheeses, fruits, veg, juices, cereals. Just fabulous. Didn’t get to visit the spa but looked amazing. Zero complaints about this stay.
Very nice property, well maintained, we had the best room on water overlooking an island, even at storm we felt safe, its
well built from steel. Complimentary breakfast was amazing, variety of choices, everything fresh and delicious. Staff very polite, friendly, helpful! Dinners at on side restaurant were really good! Will be definitely back next time. If you want peace and relaxation this is a great choice on the beautiful lake.
Wonderful little boutique hotel. Staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The breakfast was nothing out of the ordinary in content but it was fresh and well executed.
Coffee was excellent and the small bar had a good local draft beer on tap that was mighty good out on the al fresco dining area with a nice cool gust front from a passing storm.
The only downside was the lack of air conditioning in the rooms and we happened to stay on a day with a high of 92 degrees. But we survived....
The hotel was great, everything went well. The only complaint I have was that the hotel is connected to another Hilton hotel, The Doubletree. ( you literally could walk down a hall and be in the other hotel) and on the lower level was a pool that either hotel could use. BUT the Hampton guest had to pay. So I was disappointed in that and the fact it was abbot pricey for the Hampton guest to pay. $35 for my husband to take our two girls just for an hour or two was a lot in my opinion. And I say...
