We were visiting the Jurassic coast area and found this treasure. OK, it's not on the coast, but only a dozen miles from Lyme Regis, where accommodation prices are very steep. By going inland a little, we found this great old farmhouse turned into a hotel - a destination for weddings, but also a thoroughly nice place for regular travelers like us. It's in an unlikely setting. You wind through a mile or so of suburban housing on narrow streets. Follow the signs and suddenly you are on a road...

We had a lovely stay at the Rock Port Inn. It is a lovely Inn with a pub and a restaurant with spectacular views of the cliffs, and ocean beaches. Located in the center of the Square, convenient for walks to quaint shoppes, local bars and restaurants, the Lyme Regis Museum (A+ Fossil Hunting), and the beautifully scenic Jurrasic Coast and beach! Staff were friendly and provided excellent service. A delicious continental breakfast, plus hot breakfast options were included! Our guest room...
