This hotel is tucked away and very unassuming. My family stayed here for a kids sports event in the area during the early spring season. The room was very comfortable and the staff was very friendly & welcoming. I imagine this would be a great place to stay in the warmer season with all of the activities available: horseback riding, biking, hiking, etc. The kids swam in the pool during our stay and had a fun time.
When I arrived I was overwhelmed at how clean the hotel was from lobby to room to gasthaus.I stayed there for eight nights and on one occasion around 9:00 PM I was eating in the gasthaus and I could see straight into the kitchen with its clean white walls and a lady was standing on a ladder cleaing the insides of the light fixtures and ceiling. In the dining area there is top to bottom woodwork and there was not a spec of dust on any of it or on the knicknacks displayed all over.

This property is well maintained and the service was excellent. It is roughly 10 minutes walking distance to the train station which has routes to Nuremberg and Rothenberg. The restaurant is fantastic and very well priced. Our room was spacious (even by U.S. standards) and modern, and I never heard any noise from neighboring guests.
