We were so happy that we chose this hotel. The rooms are very nice, our view was spectacular. Breakfast was substantial and fueled us until mid afternoon. Beautiful outdoor dining but make a reservation. Ettal is a charming town and close to many attractions.

Also nice local restaurants with easy walking distance. The service and staff were excellent. I really enjoyed the morning breakfast that is complementary. They even had gluten free bread to accommodate my gluten allergy.

The location of the hotel is in a quiet part of the city Garmisch-Partenkirchen only 5 minutes by foot to the pedestrian area with many shops and restaurants. Hotel staff was very friendly. Breakfast and dinner (half board) was excellent. So many things are well considered and taken care of by the hotel staff, e.g. in the morning our car was cleaning from snow falling through the night. Our room was spacy and recently renovated.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Romantik Hotel. The room and bathroom were clean and cozy. The on-site restaurant was phenomenal and there were also other places very close by. From the hotel, we were able to hike around the area, including a trek up to the Andechs brewery, through a beautiful, wooden area and over to the lake. We loved the hotel and the town.
We originally booked and payed for an apartment but due to maintenance issues, the hotel substituted the apartment for two individual rooms sharing a balcony and threw in a complimentary breakfast. Breakfast had a good range of choices and nice surroundings, but service had much to be desired since we waited 15 minutes for someone to come wipe down the table we were going to sit at even though we brought it to the attention of front desk several times. Wow really nice hotel! Very clean and the rooms were large. Our only complaint was the amount of noise we could hear in the room and the lack of fans. We struggled to sleep because of the heat. We ate at the restaurant and the food was great. Overall a good stop but maybe not during a heatwave
A friend and I recently spent a winter weekend in Ambach and totally enjoyed our stay at the Landhotel Huber. The rooms were clean and comfortable; the reception and dining room staff were friendly and accommodating; the breakfast buffet was substantial, and dinner entrees delicious. Their location on the lake is ideal for walking into the village, and convenient for touring other areas in Bavaria and Austria. I can only imagine how beautiful it is in warmer weather!
