We have stayed here three times. Nice location. The only problem some may have is that there is no elevator, so you must carry your luggage up the stairs.
I really enjoyed my stay at the VillaAdel Designroom! The included breakfast was absolutely fantastic! Make sure you have some of the homemade jam! The self service mini bar and the beautiful outdoor seating area, added to the enchantment of my trip. Within easy walking distance of the train station and the Alsfeld city center. Five stars all the way! Hope to visit again soon.
Property is not a Ritz Carlton ... BUT for a small German town this is a Gem !
We stayed three nights and the room (#7) was wonderful. No frills, like Coffee Maker or other fancy gadgets that in the end you really don't need (but pay for).
A few thoughts: If you plan on having breakfast the Hotel offers a GREAT variety in the morning. Absolutely worth it!

I had an excellent stay at the Marburger Hof. My room was modern, had plenty of storage and excellent AC (I was there just after a heat wave). My delux room had a lovely covered balcony overlooking a hillside; great for relaxing before bed. The buffet breakfast was well stocked and very yummy.
