We would always chose the Pfeffermühle when we are at Ramstein/landstuhl. The restaurant is modern and the food is always healthy and delicious. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms are also modern and comfortable. They serve and sell their own honey. So good.
This was my first time staying at a European hotel so I wasn't sure what to expect. Checkin was different from my previous hotel experiences in that your credit card is not taken until you are ready to check out. It's a good thing that one can have payment processed the day before checkout as the front desk does not open until 8AM on the weekends. Keys are simply left at the front desk on the day of checkout if the desk was closed.

This is a very well run hotel right outside the Ramstein gate. We got to interact with the owner and his brother who were very helpful. The breakfast was good and the bar was also quite nice with reasonably priced drinks. The rooms were comfortable and there was a same day laundry service for 10 Euro - a great deal. If we are ever in the Ramstein area again, this will be the hotel we choose.
Small hotel, but if you’re looking to save costs, Hotel Atlantis has the bang for your buck. It’s not the most walkable to/from, but it is on the cheaper side of costs, the rooms are clean, and the property is well maintained. The only issue that I had was trying to get the vending machine to work.

Make you time your trip to arrive before 10 pm! Otherwise the front desk is closed and you will not be able the check in. We did have a problem checking out. We booked and prepaid with Expedia and the system would not let us check out. They wanted another CC payment! We booked 7 months in advance and in that time the systems changed. It was a glitch in the system on their end and they ultimately let us go.
The check-in process was unclear when I made the reservation, but the staff responded with a simple call (preceeding their email with the info) and got me promptly into my room. Admittedly, I made the reservation while standing in their parking lot. Give the process a bit more advanced time to send you door entry codes, and it will be perfect. // the room basic, yet completely updated and clean. Terrific value for the € !!
