Easily found the hotel, check in smooth and the room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking at the back. Tucked away down a quiet street but within 5 minutes walk of the town centre, the Abbey itself and plenty of restaurants nearby.
The breakfast was a typical continental and checkout very simple.

We spent 2 nights on the property in October. It is like traveling in time. This is a very old construction. We enjoy the stay.
It must be nice to spend a week there in summer to enjoy the country (hike or ride bicycle).
WIFI connection was not great. not surprising considering the thickness of the wall.
The innkeeper made us feel welcome and pointed out several restaurants walking distance away. She opened her garage to store our recumbent trikes overnight.

You will not regret to come and stay in this hotel. The staff is fantastic and in case you do not speak English let me tell you very few people will speak English in a lot of restaurants and hotels in the rural France area. The views are just stunning and the food at the restaurant is like Michelin stars. Highly recommend it.
Very well done renovation of an old country inn by the river in the gorgeous little town of Charolles. Welcoming staff and clean well equipped rooms. Price quality balance is excellent!
