My family loved this ancient chateau (medieval, with 17th and 18th century additions). The location was perfect, next to a little village with medieval church, artisanal bakery, and general grocery store for picnic supplies. Our room was huge, with a view over the moat, modernized bathroom, and even a small maid's room tucked up a tiny staircase. The breakfast in the main chateau was great, with local cheeses, jams, etc, and the dinner in the Orangerie was an experience worthy of a Michelin star...
Quiet suburban location, fairly easy to reach on the N2 (or N1?) bus line from the Train Station (stop: Castel Repos, just past Carrefour and Hexagone.) wifi login a bit cumbersome, but generally functional until too many guests logon. It was a quick stay for us. I booked the hotel last minute and got there at around 8:30-9. Check in was a bit weird as there wasn’t anyone at the main entrance/desk/lobby so I called hotels.com to get me in touch with someone from the property. A young girl came out to give us the key. Unfortunately because of the language barrier I couldn’t understand much. She gave me keys and told me where breakfast would be served. We didn’t stay for breakfast as we left early the next morning. It was a really nice stay - comfortable, welcoming, quiet and clean. There was an issue with a window closure in my room, the receptionist gave us a different room/an upgrade that had a coffee machine and a bottle of water. Thank you for your welcome!
The hotel is very well taken care of, there's a small groccery store that sells local products and bread right next to the hotel and a secured parking.
I loved that it was a one-bedroom apartment that was fully equipped with all of the necessities. The entire apartment and building were spotless. The staff was accommodating and spoke English. The building also had laundry available. The only improvement I'd make was the bed. It was rather uncomfortable and low to the floor. Nonetheless, I would highly recommend this hotel.
